Bangalore University Convocation on January 19, 2008
Bangalore University will hold its 43rd annual convocation on January 19. The list of awardees (gold medal and rank holders) are kept at the counter in the office of the registrar (evaluation), Natural Science Block, Central College campus. Students interested in verifying the list can do so from January 10 to 16 between 11 am and 4 pm on all working days. If there are objections, they must be brought to the notice of the registrar (evaluation), by January 16, a press release said. All awardees have been intimated by post to collect the invitation and passes for the convocation from January 14 to 17 between 11 am and 4 pm on all working days. They’ve to collect them from the office of the registrar (evaluation), room No. 205, 1st Floor, Natural Science Block, Central College campus.

I am very much interested to attend this Convocation, but i have no Invititation/Pass. I'm graduated this year. Is there any other means to participate? I secured 70.30% Overall (3yrs of Bcom)
My father have passed SSIT Tumkur in 1988.But he has not collected his degree due to lack of communication.Now, he wants to collect his degree.Please tell me the procedure!

Your father can collect the Degree Certificate even now. It is not a problem. First he needs to apply for the certificate in a priscribed form, through SSIT Tumkur or Bangalore University / VTU directly. (We think the Bangalore University will give the degree certificate to your father as there was no VTU 1988.)

I have passed out My MCA in 2004.
Applied for convoaction about 1.5-2 yrs back
still i did't recieved my convocation. iam in contact with my College Administrtor officer. in jan 19 i know there was convocation and he said he is expecting all convocation by month end(jan).
now he is telling that all the convocations have to verify and it takes 1 more month (end of feb).
Problem is i Filing for H1 visa. last date is in march.
i want my convocation with in a week, what should i have to do.

Dear Anonymous who passed MCA,
There are three ways to get your degree certificates:
1 - Plead with your college administrator / Principal and explain your problem, they should be able to help you.
2 - Go to University directly, Talk to the Vice Chancellor / Registrar (exams). They should be able to expedite your case.
3 - If this doesn't work out write to services@educationbangalore.com giving full details about your Name, Admission No., Colleges, Year of Passing, Your contact No. Etc...

I talked to my college, they are taking much time, not even accepting calls some times.
As i am in other city i could't meet vice chancellor/Registrar(exams).
And the MAIL-ID services@educationbangalore.com is not working.
please help me in this regard.

I talked with my college administrator officer. he said that he received only 2003 batch convocations. for 2004 batch convocation it may take more 15 days.

I was not in town during the convocation. I came across this news today, and would like to know from where do I need to collect the convocation certificate and the gold medal that I have won in Mass communication?

I finished my degree in 1999 & could not obtain my convocation certificate, since now i have applied for PF i am in desperate need of the convocation.

I have passed BSC in the year April 2000. However, was unable to apply for the degree certifcate as there was some discrepancy in the name on the marks sheet. I have got that corrected, however, haven't applied for Degree certificate since then. Can i get the certificate directly from the university now or i have to do it via my college and wait for the convocation applications to be released. I need the degree certificate urgently..I am willing to shell out additional fees to get this done. Can you suggest how fast can one secure the certifcate?

I had done my MBA from one of the colleges affiliated to Bangalore University. My batch was 2002-2004 and session was late we got the results in Feb 2005. I had approached the college authorities a number of times for my degree, but they have been refusing me for one reason or the other. I have approached the university also, but they are also not taking any interest. I am on the verge of loosing my job. Can any one help me in this regard?
i have passed my BSC in 2004.i have been in contact with the college for my mark list and convocation.now they are tellin to collect it from the university directly.even though i have applied for my tc and caution deposit in 2004 they have not taken any action.they also told me that they wont be returning the caution deposit as the date is over.i'm not in town and my marriage is fixed, will be soon leavin abroad.please help me.

I have passed my BSc. from Bangalore University in 2003. After one year later, i had been communicated from my college that I am one of the Gold Medalist from Bangalore University. Since after completing my Graduation I went back to my native place, I couldn't contact neither to my college not to University. After almost 2 years later when i first approached to my college to get the formal info on Bangalore university notice regarding gold medal list, they couldn’t manage to find the notice paper. Nevertheless, with the help of college back office staff, I visited 2 times to university central college campus to get some info. But after meeting few staffs there in university, I couldn't get any info. They said the person who was having info, was on leave for over 3 months. After that I never contacted to university to get at least the certificate of my Gold medal awards. Could anybody suggest me if it is possible to get my certificate now and if possible then how. I have paased my MBA in 2009 & want to get the convocation.
The hurdel to get the convocation is college seal & sinature.
Our college is not willing to provide the seal & signature unless we pay them unwanted fee.
I have my all mark cards.
Is there any way by which I can apply for my convocation whithout college seal & signature.
Kindly advise.
